Two Rivers Shopping Centre in Staines and the Surrey Herald have teamed up to offer one lucky child the chance to win a Nintendo Wii console and £250 of art equipment for their school.
We are looking for budding artists to design a poster to promote the Two Rivers’ Summer Fete which takes place on Saturday 17th July. The winning design will be used throughout Staines to promote the fete and a selection of entries received will be displayed in an exhibition at Two Rivers over the Summer Fete weekend.
This year the Two Rivers’ Summer Fete will include more fun activities and entertainment than ever including:
· A Meerkat petting zoo
· Giant climbing wall
· Spiderman bungee trampoline
· Best decorated cake and most misshapen vegetable competition
· Traditional fairground rides
· Face painter
· Live music
· The Two Rivers Duck Race courtesy of Woking and Surrey Hospices
· London Irish Rugby Club organising rugby based activities
Charlotte Fletcher, Centre Manager at Two Rivers commented: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming children of all ages to the centre for the Summer Fete. The poster competition is the perfect way for children to get creative and be in with a chance of having their work displayed at the centre.”
To enter the competition, simply design us a summer fete themed poster! The poster must fit onto an A3 portrait size piece of plain paper. The competition is open to all children up to the age of 11 years old and the entry should be focused on traditional summer fete activities. It does not need to include logos or words as the eventual design will be placed inside a border template. The closing date for the competition is Monday 14th June.
